one time my friend Jimmy Shimmer decided that the reason he didnt like black flag was that the songs were too long. He spent the next several weeks in his room carefully (obsessively) editing down the entire Damaged album.  This is what came of the project:  The whole album in 6:20, released on a 3” cdr.  It is still one of my favorite pieces of music and without fail puts me in a good mood.  I spent most of last night wandering around alone lost in SE portland sending texts back and forth with ol’ mr.shimmer.   At one point I wandered into some weed smoke punk party in a warehouse.  All I wanted was this album blasting in my ears while I watched the drunk and stoned animals do their thing.  Im homesick again.
